About the Role
The function of the Electrical Coordinator is to provide support to the Fixed Plant Electrical team in the risk management, defect elimination and coordination of continuous improvement projects and processes.
Located at Mining Area C, this position is offered on a FIFO 5/2, 4/3, 9/5-day shift roster, however in challenging the way we work we are also able to offer the opportunity for employees to work one or more days in Perth, to support our flexible work options. Reporting to the Fixed Plant Maintenance Electrical Superintendent, Key Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring of asset electrical integrity and compliance to statutory maintenance & inspection requirements.
- Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements & standards when completing projects;
- Preparation of the capital budget based on identification of improvement and defect elimination initiatives;
- Collates input and contributes to the development of the Maintenance strategy and budget;
- Co-ordinates commissioning activities related to modifications and small projects, as per the defined scope for Maintenance;
- Management of a portfolio of local maintenance improvement initiatives;
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Programs;
- Management of external contractors for maintenance and project purposes;
- Monitoring and analysis of shutdown maintenance performance metrics and implementation of projects to close identified performance gaps;
- Create & Review Wins and ensuring correct execution within the Fixed Plant Maintenance department;

About You
We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership and communication skills. In addition to demonstrated ability to consolidate and analyse information, you will have the skills and knowledge to provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude.
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- A valid electrical license or electrical engineering qualification;
- Experience within an equivalent industry and/or organisational experience;
- Previous Fixed Plant Maintenance experience required;
- A strong safety focus while working in a dynamic environment;
- Able to quickly form trusted relationships with stakeholders across multiple areas the operation;
- Technically minded with proven experience working with and interpreting scopes of work from photographs and drawings (task planning)
- Computer literate, with the ability to use multiple platforms concurrently to create and interpret scopes of work. (SAP highly regarded)
- Demonstrated ability to identify, plan and execute work required for maintenance activities;
Location
Working on a Fly in Fly out basis at our Western Australia Iron Ore operations, you will enjoy outstanding facilities at the FIFO villages including; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted soccer court, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
