We are looking for an Earthworks Coordinator to lead a highly focused earthworks team in completing their tasks effectively, productively and in a safe manner and meeting customer quality requirements and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Reporting to the Senior Earthworks Supervisor and working in a diverse team within the Site Operations team, you will be:
- Ensuring Compliance to Winu/Paterson region Heritage management plan and Environmental management plan
- The on-site lead and point of contact for the Earthworks contractor
- Dealing with multiple stakeholders including the Resource Development, Site Services, Communities and HSE teams.
- Ensuring compliance to Government Regulatory Authorities
- Contributing and leading the team to achieve Rio Tinto Health, Safety and Environment standards.
What you will bring
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Operational leadership strengths (logistics, coordination, contractor management, supervision), and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced and agile environment
- Previous experience in the use of Rio Tinto systems such as RTBS and SAP & proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Previous experience with GIS software packages (ESRI ARCMAP)
- Previous Earthworks experience
- Strong teamwork skills and an ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with work groups
- Demonstrate a strong safety culture

Where you will be working
Winu is a 100% Rio Tinto owned copper-gold mineralisation project in the Yeneena Basin of the Paterson Province in Western Australia. The project is located approximately 130 km north of the Telfer mine and 350 km southeast of Port Hedland. Teams at Winu are taking an agile approach to greenfield project development and being innovative in the way we bring a mine from exploration to production.
