About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Electrical, you will make a difference each day through management, leadership and coordination of the Surface electrical/instrumentation team’s work activities to ensure the safe achievement of electrical/instrumentation maintenance activities, breakdowns and operating standards while managing forward look ahead of maintenance activities to input into the short term production forecast to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes.
This is a 7/7 residential role or FIFO from Adelaide only.
Core Accountabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Manage 12 week forward look ahead of maintenance activities to input into the short term production forecast to achieve optimal maintenance outcomes.
- Manage major outage look ahead of maintenance activities.
- Assesses and approves work as identified within an area of accountability related to equipment condition.
- Prioritises the timely execution of work based on condition of risk of equipment to prevent unplanned failures.
- Identifies and implements Maintenance Execution improvement initiatives with support from Maintenance Analysis & Improvement (A&I).
- Builds cross-functional relationships with the Operational sub-functions to support the delivery of maintenance.
- Monitors and verifies competency of individual maintainers in the safe performance of their duties.
- Provides leadership for the reporting of events and hazards in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinates execution of maintenance activities related to process control systems within an Operation, including the software and hardware for these systems.
- Coordinates execution of tasks or data gathering related to conditioning monitoring as defined by Maintenance A&I.
- Co-ordinates commissioning activities related to modifications and small projects, as per the defined scope for Maintenance (the Engineering Function is accountable for the commissioning process).
- Co-ordinates commissioning activities related to brown and green field projects, as defined for the Maintenance function, but owned by the Business or Assets Project Functions (the major and minor Project Functions are accountable for the commissioning process).
- Collates input and contributes to the development of the Maintenance strategy and budget (corrective foreseeable and unforeseeable) by reviewing the existing Work Plans Task Lists and corrective Task Lists, in collaboration with Maintenance A&I.
- Conduct / Participate in workplace investigations as required
- Participate in any other projects or key tasks as directed by line manager or delegate.
About You
- Relevant trade qualifications (Electrical/instrumentation)
- SA unrestricted Electrical Workers licence
- Previous experience in Maintenance execution
- Previous experience in a supervisor/leadership role
- Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in HSE principles
- Experienced in statutory compliance – mining and minerals processing preferred
- Effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Work Management software (1SAP) will be advantageous
- Ability to communicate/operate across multiple levels and disciplines
- Hazardous areas qualifications highly regarded
- Drivers Licence
- Interstate and/or Intrastate travel may be required
