About the Role

The role of Specialist Operations Service Delivery - Major Incident Coordinator responsibilities are mainly documenting & communicating activities across all major incidents.

The role is on a 5 days on 2 days off roster consisting of days and night shifts.

Duties of the role include:

  • Contributes to the management and support of Major Incident candidate assessment.
  • Provide initiation of technical and stakeholder bridges.
  • Coordinate recovery actions and plans for Major Incidents
  • Ensure that an accurate timeline of activities on a Major Incident is documented
  • Execute notifications as defined in a Major Incident Management procedure
  • ECR approval as a workaround/recovery option.

About You

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

  • Tertiary education in Technology related qualifications.
  • Demonstrated work experience in Information Technology of which some years in service management.
  • Certification in ITIL Foundation is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with “ServiceNow” will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of business acumen and understanding of business applications used in a large, multinational business organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically through email and oral presentations.
  • Must be willing to work a shift schedule (holidays & weekends required).
