We are looking for a Coordinator – Mine Services to help lead a team of mine services operators to ensure safety, people and planned targets are met.

Reporting to the Supervisor Mine Services and working in a collaborative community within the Mine Services team, you will be:
Willing to lead and coordinate a team of mine operators with their day-to-day operations.
Providing visible leadership and driving the safety culture.
Continually developing and upskilling team members.
Working towards increasing equipment productivity, reliability and availability.
Leading by example, communicating effectively and ensuring values of the business are adhered to.
What you’ll bring
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Previous leadership experience within the construction industry – specialising in civil and haul road construction or previous experience in the mining industry
Ability to operate the following: Grader, Excavator, Scraper, Moxy, 777F Dungbeetle, Roller, Backhoe
Heavy Rigid/Heavy Combination Licence
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with and lead a diverse workforce in a diverse and fast paced environment
Demonstrates a positive attitude and willing to drive improvements
Intermediate computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office suite applications
It will also be beneficial if you have:
RIIWHS301 Conduct Safety and Health Investigations (formerly S2)
RIICOM301 Communicate Information (formerly S3)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE40110

Where you’ll be workingOur Weipa operations in Far North Queensland includes three bauxite mines, processing facilities, shiploaders, an export wharf, two ports, power stations, a rail network and ferry terminals. Amrun, our newest mine, was completed in 2018 and will extend our Weipa bauxite operations by decades, significantly building on our 55-year history on the Western Cape, and providing jobs and supporting business growth in the region. The mine is located on traditional land. We work closely with the Traditional Owners to implement our agreements, ensuring that the benefits generated from mining support future generations and that important cultural heritage sites are identified and preserved.
