About the Role – Mobility Coordinator
Whitehaven Coal have an exciting new opportunity for Mobility Coordinator to join our evolving and exciting recruitment team! You will be joining a supportive and super fun culture that thrives within our highly motivated and knowledgeable team.
Based in the Gunnedah / Narrabri region, the Mobility Coordinator is responsible for relocating international employees and their families from another country to Australia, as part of their employment with Whitehaven Coal. Critical to your success, is your ability to set up and oversee transfers, ensuring a seamless transition between countries including organising house moves and schooling.
What You’ll Do
· Coordination of Whitehaven Coal’s Mobility Program, working closely with the business’s preferred partners and the Group Manager, Workforce Resourcing
· Partner with appropriate external partners for relocation and immigration
· Provide insights into the design and optimization of the business’s Mobility Program, as required, and prepare budget and cost estimates for the Group Manager – Workforce Resourcing, as required
· Keeping abreast of legislative changes and developments of migration matters to effectively apply new and improved practices to enhance international employee outcomes for the business’s Program
· Provide assistance to the successful candidate during the on boarding process where appropriate
· Ensure the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is kept up to date at all times to maintain accurate reporting
· Ensure representation of company internally and externally at any related events with a goal of networking and relationship building
· High level of engagement with HR Business Partners regarding international talent pipelines for their respective sites.
· Act as the contact point person for all matters related to immigration, business travel and relocation, and manage the administration of the company’s domestic and international relocation programs
· Work closely with Whitehaven Coal’s preferred international recruitment partners to ensure international suitable talent is presented to the business regularly, working in partnership with the business’ recruitment business partners
· Review international applications, in consultation with Whitehaven Coal’s Recruitment Business Partners to prepare shortlists of qualified international candidates for the business’s operations.
What You’ll Bring
- We’re looking for a remarkable team player, with the strength to build and maintain successful business relationships.
- Strong interpersonal skills, business acumen and proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential
- Current knowledge of mobility and immigration practices advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Administration, Business or Finance and / or related Diploma advantageous
- Additional languages an asset
- Experience with mobility principles and policies in a complex organisation advantageous
- Experience in the Australian coal mining sector is considered advantageous
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Current drivers’ licence
- The flexibility to regularly travel to sites.
