About the Role
Our BRM Production Longwall team based at our Broadmeadow mine site are seeking a Longwall Production Coordinator to join the team. This residential position will be offered on a 7 0n /7 0ff dayshift only roster. Reporting to the Longwall Superintendent, this role will be responsible for planning and execution of the Longwall Top Coal Cave operations. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the safety and requirements of the teams in the Top Coal Caving Longwall system.
- Striving to exceed mine targets for safety, volume, and cost.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring tasks are completed within set timeframes and budgets.
About You

You will also possess:
- A demonstrated commitment to safety and driving underground standards.
- Practical experience in longwall operations including longwall relocations.
- Experience supervising longwall crews and contractors.
- Deputies mining qualifications is preferred.
- Forward planning skills and a demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and budget.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; and
- The desire to make a significant contribution to a world class longwall operation.
Location Broadmeadow Mine Site is BHP’s only underground Mine operation in Central Queensland, our Mine Site’s coal is blended with open cut coal from Goonyella Riverside Mine to produce Goonyella Coking Coal. Broadmeadow Mine Site is located north of the Moranbah Township.
