About the Role

The role of Coordinator Resource Deployment is a 12-month fixed term contract.

Based in Perth or Brisbane and reporting to the Superintendent Resource Deployment, you will develop and optimise rosters and coordinate deployment to ensure the right employees are deployed to the right place at the right time. Your key accountabilities include:

  • Develop, optimise and manage legal and safe rosters for the OS deployment workforce;  

  • Manage team leave, training, rotations and workforce resource movements into deployment planning and execution;

  • Participate in roster effectiveness reviews and improvement activities;

  • Facilitate and manage workforce travel and accommodation bookings, minimising wastage and adhering to journey management plans; and

  • Manage planned and short-notice unplanned absence events.

About you

With demonstrated experience developing and maintaining complex rosters, you will possess the following skills:  

  • Understanding of tactical decision making and prioritising for value;
  • Strong attention to detail; 
  • Ability to adapt and change scheduled activities and bring forward or defer plans to optimise resource utilisation during unplanned interruptions; 
  • Demonstrated ability to apply business rules to inform solutions to deviations from planned rosters or deployments; 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders; and
  • Hands on experience coordinating resource deployment within mining, airline, health or similar industries is highly regarded.
  • You will be working with a Manager who encourages open communication and will empower you to utilise your existing knowledge and skills to make a real difference.
