Our Telfer operation in Australia is now recruiting for the position of Shutdown Co-Ordinator – Surface Maintenance.
The Role
Roster: The role is full time, permanent FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 dayshift only- required to do extra shifts during major outages
Site: Telfer Operations- Located in the Great Sandy Desert in Western Australia, Telfer is a fly in fly out operation from Perth
Reporting into the Maintenance Superintendent this role will see you help plan and oversee the safe execution of major mill and crusher shutdowns whilst working to budget and time restraints.
This rewarding role will have you work closely with contract partners and other Newmont departments to deliver positive business outcomes to ensure safety and reliability of Telfer’s Surface Maintenance assets.
Other deliverables of this role include, but not limited to:
- Have a strong mechanical background with experience in fixed plant maintenance preferably in a leadership position.
- Have the ability to project manage large scale plant outages involving numerous contract partners.
- Be proactive in continuously improving maintenance strategies to improve plant reliability and shut down readiness
- Demonstrate an uncompromised commitment to safety to achieve a workplace target of zero injuries and incidents
- Required to understand and act in accordance with Newmont's Values and Code of Conduct and generally to meet all relevant and internal and external compliance obligations.
About you
- A relevant Trade Qualification
- Experience in fixed plant maintenance, preferably in leadership position.
- Efficient with SAP or similar maintenance systems
- Full Australian working rights
