About the Role
We are currently seeking applications for the role of Coordinator Shutdown Area Owner. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and enjoy working in an inclusive team environment within the Shutdown Execution Team, executing shutdowns at both Nelson Point and Finucane Island.
This role will work an 8 days on / 6 days off / 7 nights on / 7 days off rotation (FIFO from Perth).
Your duties will include:
- Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter Values, Our Code and BHP Group Level Documents and relevant statutory obligations.
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
- Coordination shutdown execution activities across the ports aligned with the shutdowns key deliverable of safe and on time delivery of the shutdown.
- Manages execution of planned and scheduled work by both internal and external labour in the safest manner possible. This is managed in line with identified risk management plans and safe systems of work.
- Approving all work proceed in allocated area via PTW / SPHERA as Permit issuer.
- Managing work schedule using shutdown Gantt chart/quantum.
- Work management of all work packs, time confirmations, sub notifications for emergent work.
- Parts identification and urgent requests for parts not ordered or incorrectly supplied through SAP and the warehouse within their allocated work.
- Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment
- Identifying and providing input in the continuous improvement of our shutdown management process and procedures.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following skills/experience:
- Hold, or have the ability to obtain S26 qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years Mining experience
- A minimum of 2 years Shutdown Experience at Nelson Point and Finucane Island (desirable but not essential)
- Experience in shutdown/construction supervision of multiple workgroups
- Demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety and the environment
- Proven ability to communicate plans clearly and concisely
- A knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance practices
- Working knowledge of project management principles
- Working knowledge with 1SAP / FIORI
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools
- High proficiency with SPHERA and Isolation Process
