About the Role

The Coordinator Training, for the CHPP and Infrastructure, will assist in the delivery of all training requirements to ensure personnel can perform their roles in accordance with site, industry standards and Mt Arthur’s policies and procedures.

Reporting to the Capability Development & Training Specialist, the Coordinator Training will be responsible for ensuring that training and assessment activities, within their area of accountability, are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered. They are also responsible for the development of training and assessment activities and to ensure they are compliant to legislation, system and training frameworks.

The work of this role will encompass: 

  • Working closely with the Supervisors and Specialists to understand the requirements of employees and contractors to ensure that all statutory compliance is maintained
  • Prepare onboarding training for new employees and contractors
  • Encouraging and leading productive collaboration across department peer groups through informal processes as well as formal forums and routines
  • Communicating confidently, building rapport and effectively liaison with people at all levels
  • Liaison with subject matter experts on training aids such as training content and manuals
  • Liaison with the Site Training team to ensure employee training records are kept up to date

About You

 As a successful candidate you will possess the following: 

  • Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Demonstrated experience in training and assessment in a mining (or similar) environment
  • Working knowledge of the current skills packages required for the Coal Industry
  • Knowledge and skills in training package development
  • Experience in the use of Learning Management Systems (SuccessFactors)
  • Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple and competing priorities as well as the ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with proven experience delivering projects on time
  • Holds a current motor vehicle drivers’ licence
