About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced training professional to join the Mount Arthur Coal Training team.  Key focus will be the effective provision of training services in line with the business plan requirements.

The successful applicant will have responsibilities monitoring, evaluating, and improving the learning management system and to further develop skills, experience, and relationships within Mount Arthur Coal operational areas.  You will provide support and advice to area teams and leaders and assist in the plan for development of personnel for capability planning.

You will be responsible for overseeing the review and development of training materials/modules and methodologies for delivery of on-the-job and occupational training.

Your industry skills and experience will ensure that training delivery and record maintenance are well planned and that business needs are met in an efficient and timely manner and be expected to provide advice as the subject matter expert on legislative training and licensing requirements, whilst providing a customer focused advisory service. 

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Design and develop entire end to end training packages to meet area operational plans, based on skills needs analysis, training needs analysis and gap closure
  • Development and maintenance of TNA for site
  • Development of SCORM e-learning packages
  • Advising operational departments of training requirements for the control of material risk and legislative training requirements for plant and equipment
  • Facilitation and assessment of training packages to staff
  • Providing support and mentoring and coaching for on the job Training Officers and Assessors
  • Manage the delivery of external training services to site, including the development of the schedule, and including contract management of external vendors and suppliers
  • Analyse training data to provide timely advice to each area of the business to enable training plans to be put in place to close gaps in training competencies
  • Data management of LMS records

About You

To be considered for this role you will hold a Diploma in Training Design & Development / Vocational Education & Training is desirable, or as a minimum a Certificate IV Workplace Training & Assessment. In addition you will possess the following:

  • Previous experience in Leaning Management Systems (Success Factors) within the Mining/Mineral industry is in a training role is essential.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with proven experience delivering projects on time.
  • Proven experience in facilitation and training design & development, strategies supported by an understanding of national training packages.
  • Results driven, focused, and have the ability to bring out the best in others and have strong communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships across site to achieve excellence.
