About the Role

  • The role is based at our Adelaide Office.
  • This vacancy will accept applications until 11:59pm AEST on 2nd January 2024. 

In this role, you will support the Head of Corporate Affairs South Australia (HoCA) in establishing an Asset-centric, integrated, disciplined and high performing South Australia Corporate Affairs team. This role will support the establishment of a new team over a 18-24 month period, acting as a key strategic advisor to the HoCA. The successful candidate will have the capacity to take a medium-term view to all activities to ensure sustainability of newly established systems and processes for the team.      

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development of the South Australia Corporate Affairs Strategic Plan, Stakeholder Engagement Plan and Budget;
  • Support the HoCA to build an integrated and effective team to service the South Australian Copper Asset; 
  • Develop a state-wide view and understanding of the overall South Australia Corporate Affairs budget and workforce plan;
  • Lead the management and delivery of projects and initiatives at a state-based level; 
  • Develops change management plans to ensure that Asset and Corporate objectives and initiatives are successfully embedded;
  • Monitor the South Australian community plan and ensure that governance and reporting requirements are met;
  • Negotiate and manage contracts and agreements with external service providers;
  • Provide support to the Communications, Community, Government Relations and Indigenous Engagement teams / team members. 

About you

  • Significant experience in Corporate Affairs or other relevant external-facing background.  
  • Superior analytical skills and capability in navigating complexity and ambiguity.  
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and organisational experience in a global or multi-jurisdictional role. 
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated experience in the resources industry. 
  • Experience engaging with senior functional and business leaders. Experience at executive leadership/CEO level highly advantageous.  
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change and culture development and driving continuous improvement on a broad scale. 
  • Demonstrated experience working in a matrix organisation. 
  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, business or relevant commercially focussed discipline highly desirable.  
  • Experience working in the resources or energy sector preferred, but not essential.
