Corporate Development Senior Analyst

Work Location: Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday

In this role you will report to the Corporate Development Manager and assist on global and regional corporate development transactions, particularly M&A opportunities and provide commercial support to strategic projects.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the screening and execution of corporate development transactions, including engagement working with multiple stakeholders, due diligence, reviewing key terms, financial modelling and valuation
  • Preparing investment decision papers for Investment Committee and Board approvals
  • Supporting regional and country commercial teams on regional corporate development transactions and strategic projects, as required
  • Collaboration with cross functional subject matter experts, such as Legal and Finance
  • Market research and analysis
  • Assisting in the successful integration of acquisitions

Qualifications and skills required:

  • A tertiary degree in a business / finance related field, post graduate qualifications are desirable
  • 5-7yrs experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance or other business / corporate development roles in a global and fast-paced organisation, preferably in resources, heavy industry, energy or infrastructure
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, proven financial modelling experience
  • Excellent business writing and presentation skills
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build strong relationships to achieve desired outcomes
  • Resilient and self-managing with the ability to work autonomously and take the initiative and reliably deliver on tight deadlines
  • Strong work ethic and willing to regularly travel internationally
  • Supports the vision of FFI and can demonstrate alignment with our values.
