About the role
We are looking for a Corrosion Control Supervisor to lead a cross functional team of contractors, consisting of technicians conducting blasting and painting activities (corrosion control), and rope access duties. The role will manage the team thru execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
This role is a great opportunity for a safety focused team leader to lead the maintenance activities within the Yarwun footprint. Reporting to the Superintendent site services.
Demonstrating personal and team behavior that meets or exceeds the Yarwun Visions and Models for leadership.
Fostering a culture of zero harm and continuous improvement.
Supporting of operational needs and execution of planned work.
Able to work under the pressures of ‘break in’ and planned work across multiple work fronts.
Delivering weekly, monthly and annual maintenance and safety performance KPI’s.
Managing expenditure within the allocated budget and execution of Yarwun operating system
Permanent opportunity working a family friendly roster.
Building relationships with contracted vendors
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Experience supervising in a mining, processing, or materials handling environment.
Be Trade ticketed in boiler making or mechanical trades.
Rope access trained(preferred)
NACE ticketed(preferred)
Strong knowledge of SAP MMS.
MSIC required.
Able to develop an achievable plan, week to week, also with a long-term view.
Strong proven leadership, with skills to build relationships at all levels of business.
Strong working relationships with our contracted vendors
