About the Role
As the data analyst for Rail Operations, you will report to the Rail services Superintendent. You will provide support to the Rail Operations services team and support data gathering supporting crew rostering, supply chain logistics and long term work force planning and data cleansing You will have an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development of Rail Operation
- Analyses and models data to draw out insights and solutions that address hypotheses and business challenges.
- Develops and communicates insights that guide data driven action and decision making.
- Uses, stores, classifies, assesses and processes data/metadata in alignment with BHPs standards and requirements for data quality management, integrity and governance.
- Cleanses and manages data/metadata to maintain the quality and integrity of BHP data and ensure compliance with data security, privacy and legal requirements.
- Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.
- Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
About You
- Strong analytical skills and a capacity to interpret complex data from multiple sources
- Ability to analyse data and forecast work force planning
- Advanced reporting and BI/DW development experience
- An applied knowledge of data principles, in particular data Supply chain analytics
- Technical experience with one or more major BI platforms
- Strong Stakeholder engagement across a number of functions
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and solution delivery
