About the Role
We are currently looking for a Data Management Specialist to join the WAIO Water Planning team in Perth.
This opportunity is to take on the data custodian role for our water data systems, working with our water team to develop and maintain the integrated water and drill hole databases that support our work. As well as supporting our users you will be working alongside the BHP technology team and representing Water Planning in wider BHP technology forums and processes.
Improvement is a core part of our business at BHP and you have a mandate to use your technical expertise to identify and follow up improvement opportunities in our systems and processes.
- Our systems are supported by remote monitoring and we rely on robust data delivery and telemetry processes. You will be working with users, vendors and technology support, to observe, analyse and improve data delivery processes and systems.
- User support is part of the role, indcluding triage and resolution of support tickets and providing system training to users
- As a system owner, you will be involved in our long term data strategy and system planning to ensure we have up to date and fit for purpose tools.
About You
To be successful in the role, your experience and skills should include the following:
- Exposure to water monitoring and/or drilling data
- Experience with data systems, delivery and administration
- Experience with SQL sever, OSI Pi
- You will be a self-starter, able to get going and use your initiative
- Attention to detail is always appreciated
