Decarbonisation Advisory Lead

The decarb Advisory Lead is to set up and lead the Decarb Advisory team within the FFI decarbonisation division. This team will provide decarbonisation advisory services to other (i.e., non-Fortescue) companies in the mining and other sectors, leveraging the expertise, technology and experience of the wider Fortescue group (including FMG, FFI, WAE). This advisory is expected to be in the areas of (i) designing the future (near) zero-emission end state; (ii) developing/securing access to the required technology, especially when (co)-owned by Fortescue (such as Fortescue electrolysers); (iii) costing the transition; and (iv) change management and skill building.
The Decarb Advisory Lead is to collaborate deeply with the heads of FFI Green Industries, FFI Green Energy, FFI Decarbonisation and their teams, as well with selected FMG groups such as AMU.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and lead the decarb advisory unit
- Build and recruit the team
- Build the service offerings, integrated or complemented with the FFI Green Tech offerings
Qualifications and skills required
- Partner / GM level experience in consulting / advisory
- Extensive expertise in decarbonisation in a heavy industry setting, especially mining
- Proven entrepreneurial skills
- Outstanding communication skills
- Affinity with technology, especially technology associated with decarbonisation
