Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Development Coordinator will work closely with the Development Engineering team to effectively co-ordinate all development operational activities including panel relocations.
  • High Quality planning to maintain engineering maintenance and operational systems & standards
  • Maintaining & enforcing operational automation systems & standards
  • Implementation training requirements for the crew in development areas to achieve forecast meters of drivage.

Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Statutory Mining qualifications (minimum of Deputies Practicing certificate, Undermanager’s practicing certificate highly desirable)
  • Mechanical or electrical trade (desired, not essential)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Drivers License
  • Risk Management Training, (Minimum of G2 level)
Essential Criteria
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Underground coal mining working in Development panels as a deputy.
  •  Experience managing Relocation and Installation of development equipment
  •  Experience and sound knowledge of Development equipment Automation systems
  •  Experience and sound knowledge of development equipment engineering maintenance systems
  •  Experience and sound knowledge of development production systems.

Skills

  • Excellent planning, coordination & Communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory laws and regulations governing underground mines.
  • Ability to source and analyse data to facilitate management decision making.
  • Very good interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to practice and promote Yancoal Values.
  • Sound organisational skills.
