• Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Role overview:

Reporting to the Water Services Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for all aspects of dewatering and water services for operational mining. You will be part of a committed team of people who share a vision of being the safest and most efficient team. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Installation and replacements of a range of diesel driven generator sets
• Perform total maintenance needs of all generator sets
• Installation, replacement, fault finding of diesel centrifugal pumps
• Perform total maintenance needs of diesel centrifugal pumps 
• Perform effective trouble shooting including control system fault finding in conjunction with electrical team members
• Respond to high priority equipment breakdowns in a safe and timely matter to minimise impact to production and or critical services

Education and Experience:

• Australian recognised trade certificate in the relevant field
• Previous experience working in the mining or heavy industry
• High regard for safety
• Heavy Rigid Driver’s License (desirable)
• Trade qualification
• Relevant experience
