Yarrabee Coal Company a wholly owned subsidiary of Yancoal Australia, based in Blackwater Queensland, 2 hours drive west of Rockhampton.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join our Mining Team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Mining Coordinator this position is responsible for the allocation and optimisation of the mining fleet to assist in exceeding targeted rates. You will also be responsible for: Coordinating between mining and maintenance teams to minimise any interruptions to production and optimise fleet allocation. Collecting and validating data to ensure records and reporting accuracy. Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance & workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the Yancoal values.  

Roster: 7/7,12 hour shifts, rotating Day/Night

Skills and Experience

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
• High level of computer literacy
• Excellent problem solving skills and logical aptitude
• Ability to undertake work activities autonomously and in accordance with standards, rulesand procedures
• Working knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations andhow they pertainto individual and supervisor obligations
• Advanced knowledge of Fleet Management Systems
• Excellent knowledge of mining process and systems
• Advanced understanding of the Haul Cycle and continuous improvement strategies

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience in the optimisation of Fleet Management Systems
• Experienced at prioritising competing tasks
• Current Supervisor competencies (S1,S2, S3 and G2)
• Current Standard 11 Mine Induction (Surface)
• Current Queensland Driver’s licence
