Divisional Secretary – West Angeles

  • Interesting and varied role supporting General Manager and management team at the West Angeles site

  • FIFO 5on:2off | 4on:3off | Full time, fixed term contract to April 2024

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Divisional Secretary to join a vibrant, inclusive, and collaborative team at our West Angeles mine. In this role you will provide administrative support for the West Angeles General Manager in addition to the broader management team.

  • High level of efficient secretarial support for the General Manager, as well as support for the Mining, MEM, Fixed Plant, OE, and PR&D Managers through:
    • Calendar management
    • Travel arrangements
    • Credit card reconciliations
    • Meeting preparation and action taking
    • Presentation support
  • Communication and legal responsibility support to the Senior Site Executive (GM)
  • Co-ordinate site-wide events such as Family Days, Service Awards, and other Manager-led events both onsite and offsite
  • Coordinate arrangements for VIP visits with key stakeholders such as our Joint Venture Partners, Traditional Owner Groups, contract partners, etc.
  • Stakeholder engagement with internal and external business partners
  • Stakeholder engagement with regional partners which includes perks of occasional travel to Busselton and Broome.

What you will bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Experience providing administrative support up to an executive level
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to problem solve, prioritise, multi-task and have a flexible working approach
  • Advanced MS office skills including MS Outlook, Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and application
  • Previous experience in mining will be advantageous
  • Certificate in business administration or similar whilst not essential, will be well-regarded

Where you’ll be working

Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly in fly out roster from Perth, Broome and Busselton.

West Angelas is a pioneer in autonomous technologies – we were the first site to trial autonomous haul trucks and incorporate autonomous drilling into our operations in 2008, and we continue to have one of the largest mining fleets in the Pilbara.
