Operational Document Controller

Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

Role overview:

The Operational Document Controller manages the storage and distribution of Corporate and Operational controlled documents. 

This includes managing the flow of vendor data from operational projects. 

The work is varied and requires building relationships with customers, providing them with guidance and being flexible within our standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing all documentation received, including vendor data, in accordance with prescribed procedures and time schedules
• Provide one on one training and support to customers
• Document processes and create quick cards
• Issuing of data for review where necessary and expediting overdue data
• Identifying asset-based information and creating equipment registers
• Entering & updating electronic copies of internally produced data and vendor data into in the electronic document management systems

Education and Experience:

• 2 years experience in document control preferred however training will be provided
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Customer service focused with strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Ability to multitask, adapt to changing requirements and timeframes
• Highly motivated team player is a priority
• PIMs and ProjectWise experience preferred, and must be proficient at Excel
