Domestic Business Development Manager
Work Location: Brisbane / Sydney / Melbourne
Roster: Monday to Friday
The Domestic BD Manager will:
- Identify and analyse domestic decarbonisation opportunities, e.g., hydrogen and competitors
- Develop relationships with potential customers in the domestic market and solutions to meet their needs
- Assist in identifying and developing partnerships to enable the implementation of customer solutions
- Assist with the development of projects
- Work with the commercial and sales teams to develop customer proposals and negotiate agreements
The role will report to the NSW Manager but will be responsible for opportunities across the East Coast of Australia and New Zealand.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Work with the commercial and strategy team to develop the domestic sales and engagement strategy
- Assist with the preparation of market analysis & strategies
- Identify and develop commercial opportunities
- Develop customer offerings in priority sectors and locations
- Contribute to the identification of priority sectors and locations
- Build and maintain ongoing relationships with new and existing customers
- Work with the project and commercial team to develop customer agreements
Qualifications and skills desired:
- Experience in contributing as part of a high-performing team and in a similar role including experience in working with stakeholders
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited guidance
- Solid contract negotiation and implementation skills
- Experience in transport (hydrogen refueling and fast charging), chemicals (fertiliser etc.) and industry (high temperature heat) products, projects and/or business development
- Development and implementation of projects to meet customer requirements
- Engineering qualifications preferred but not essential
- Relationship management skills
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent communication, conflict management & resolution skills
- Experience building capability to manage and serve disperse customers
