Our Opportunity
Work location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster: 4/3 FIFO from Perth
Fortescue is seeking a motivated and skilled Draftsperson to join our dynamic, high-performing team, reporting directly to the Project Superintendent.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Process Diagrams (PDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), electrical single-line diagrams, and 3D models that support critical site operations and projects. This is a unique opportunity to be part of Fortescue’s first magnetite operation, working closely with the site engineering team and contributing to the ongoing success and growth of this pioneering asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and upkeep of engineering drawings and plant wide 3D Models, specifically new brownfield project integration in line with Fortescue standards
- Create comprehensive drawing sets for the electrical and mechanical teams, encompassing new systems and as-built configurations.
- Collaborate closely with the design and engineering team to ensure designs meet project requirements.
- Oversee the management of drawings, design data, and 3D Models
Qualifications and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in a drafting/designer role in process plant design
- Experience in piping/mechanical role
- Experience with Bentley Products 2D and 3D
- Proven capability in using 3D design software
- Experience in piping/mechanical role
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
- An innovative and methodical thinker with a strong solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
