Dragline Operator

About the role: 

We are currently seeking an experienced Dragline Operator to join our Coppabella mine site.  Our Coppabella Moorvale joint Venture complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.

Reporting to the OCE/Supervisor, this role will be responsible for operating the Marion 8200 Dragline in a safe and efficient manner. In addition, a strong background in cable handling and management and track dozer operation are expected. Finally, this position requires a strong attention to detail and ability to follow and contribute to the mine plan. A current trainer/assessor competency would be highly regarded.  

Duties will include:

• Strong commitment to safety as a way of life
• 2+ years’ experience operating draglines
• Ability to meet and exceed set targets
• An effective team player

The lifestyle:

This position is offered on a 7/7 day/night roster on 12.5 hour shifts and can allow residential, DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.
