We are looking for enthusiastic people to join us as a Drill and Blast Scheduler to coordinate in field blast monitoring, standard drill and blast designs and supporting performance using drones to ensure the safe and efficient execution of the drill and blast plan. This is a development opportunity, and we’ll provide full training and support to help you succeed and thrive in this role.

Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, working 8 days on, 6 days off roster, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including drill and blast data entry and stock management, standard CLUPs, daily drill and blast plans, drill and blast analysis using a suite of software and drone footage.
What you’ll bring
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years open pit blasting experience, coupled with a strong work ethic with willingness to learn. Sound communication and computer skills, strong forward-thinking mindset, and analytical skills.

Located 100km north-west of Newman, Hope Downs 1 offers an 8/6 roster and is a joint venture managed and operated by Rio Tinto, working in conjunction with nearby site Hope Downs 4.
