Drill Operator 

Work Location: Across various Fortescue sites 

Roster: Offering flexibility with either 7D7N7R (2:1) or 7D7N714R (2:2) – FIFO ex Perth

Fortescue are currently seeking suitably qualified Drillers to join our Drill & Blast teams across various sites. Reporting to the Drill and Blast Supervisor, your role will be to operate D65 and Cubex drill rigs at maximum efficiency, while maintaining safety, environmental and heritage standards, to achieve required operational targets for the business.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Demonstrate behaviour that aligns with FMG values
• Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis
• Meet daily operational targets
• Maintain assets to operational capacity
• Constantly strive to increase process efficiency

Qualifications and skills required:

• Australian Class C Manual Driver’s License
• Previous experience in similar role
• Senior First Aid Certification 
• D65, Cubex and/or Pit Viper experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act/Regs
• Time management skills
