Drill Operator Advanced
Work Location: Cloudbreak - Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 7D/7N/7R – FIFO ex Perth and Busselton
Key accountabilities will include:
- Drilling blast holes using Epiroc Pit Viper P271, Cat MD6310 and Epiroc D65 blast hole rigs
- Carry out work instructions as directed by the Drill Supervisor or leading hand Driller
- Support and actively participate in delivery of the FMG Policies, Procedures and Safe Systems of Work
- Operate Drills and Drill support vehicles in accordance with FMG Policies and Procedures.
- Safe handling of drill bits and drill accessories
- Work as a team member, and do all things necessary to become a valued member of the Drill and Blast Team
Education and Experience:
- Experience operating D65, Pit Viper, Cat Drill rigs and drill support vehicles
- Some exposure to drilling safely in contour areas
- Good communication skills
- Senior First Aid (desired but not essential)
- WA C Class Driver's Licence
