Reliability Specialist – Drills
Work Location: Perth. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.
Roster: Monday to Friday
Role overview:
The Drill Reliability Specialist will support the Reliability Superintendent as a technical lead and reference for engineering and reliability of their accountable Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) fleet. Their primary role is to proactively improve the HME fleet reliability sustainably.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively look for improvement opportunities and lead implementation
- Engage in and support reliability processes across FMG for fleet type of responsibility
- Provide technical support and recommendations as a subject matter expert to improve the reliability of HME equipment within Fortescue Operations
- Lead and implement FMG wide HME projects to improve equipment reliability, such as Maintenance Strategies reviews, services optimisation and reliability processes
- OEM Engagement for continuous improvement and product performance issues
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience with Platform, Contour and Autonomous Drills.
- Tertiary Engineering Qualifications in Mechanical or similar (Post Graduate Diploma in Reliability desirable) with previous site-based experience in a Maintenance/Reliability Engineering role
- Experience in a mobile maintenance environment and exposure to multiple OEM’s
- Extensive project management experience
- Knowledge of EAM software including SAP.
- FMECA, RCA, RCM, LCC, Lean Six sigma (desirable)
- Condition Monitoring Certification (desirable)
