Drill Supervisor
Work Location: Eliwana
- Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama & Pinikura (PKKP) People.
Roster: 2/1 ex FIFO Perth
Fortescue are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Drill Supervisors to join our Eliwana team. Reporting to the Drill and Blast Superintendent, this position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day drill and blast activities and personnel, in order to ensure mine safety and production targets are achieved in an efficient manner.
Key responsibilities include:
- To supervise Drilling activities for maximum efficiency, while maintaining safety, environmental and heritage standards, to achieve required operational targets for the business.
- Provide training, coaching & mentoring to Drillers and Drill technicians around Drilling Processes.
- Ensure that work carried out by Drillers and Drill technicians is of suitable standard.
- Support and actively participate in delivery of the FMG Policies, Procedures and Safe Systems of Work
- Maintaining and review of Drill consumable levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working in a similar role is essential
- Experience working with D65 and Pit viper Drills.
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate
- Senior First Aid (desired but not Essential)
- Dangerous Goods Security Card -DGSC (desired but not essential)
- WA C Class Driver's Licence
