Work Location: Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.
Roster: 7D7N7R – FIFO ex Perth and Busselton
Fortescue are seeking an experienced Driller, who is comfortable working in a remote location, is adaptable to and welcomes change, to join our Flying Fish team.
Reporting to the Drill and Blast Supervisor, your role will operate our D65 drill rigs at maximum efficiency, our drill support vehicles and assist Blast Crew when required. Whilst maintaining safety, environmental and heritage standards, to achieve our operational targets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate behaviour that aligns with FMG values
- Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis
- Meet daily operational targets
- Maintain assets to operational capacity
- Constantly strive to increase process efficiency
Qualifications and Experience:
- D65 experience
- Senior First Aid Certification and C Class Manual Driver’s License
- Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act/Regs
- Communication and interpersonal skills - two-way operation
- Basic computer skills and time management skills
