Dump Truck Operator

Work Location: Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people

Roster: 7D7N7RNR - FIFO ex Busselton

Fortescue is seeking suitably experienced electric mining operators who have operated some or all of the following equipment in a mining environment:

  • Komatsu 830E, 930E
  • Terex MT4400
  • Hitachi EH5000

As a skilled Mining Operator, you will be responsible for operating mobile equipment at maximum efficiency, while maintaining safety, environmental and heritage standards to achieve required operational targets for the business.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Comply with Zero Harm principles on a daily basis
  • Meet daily operational targets
  • Maintain assets to operational capacity
  • Constantly strive to increase process efficiency
  • Demonstrate behaviour that aligns with FMG values

Experience required:

  • Ability to skillfully operate electric dump trucks
  • Ability to read mine plans
  • Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act Regs
  • WA Class HR Driver's License
  • Communication and interpersonal skills - two-way operation
  • Basic computer and time management skills
