Title: Intermediate Electrical Designer– Green Fleet Development
Work location: Perth based (Hazelmere)
Roster: 5/2 Roster (Mon to Fri)
In support of Fortescue’s strong focus on green energy and our carbon neutrality targets, one of our key initiatives will be in our Green Fleet projects whereby we will develop and test a range of technologies to power our mining fleet
Based out our new Hazelmere R&D facility and reporting to the Principal Design Green Fleet Development, we are presently looking for an Intermediate Electrical Designer in a full-time position.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Assisting the Electrical Designers producing formal high quality Electrical Drawings
- Updating existing drawings to meet standards
- Redrafting vendor drawings
- Working on the shop floor to document changes
- Updating drawings from Red Pen mark-ups
- Proactively deliver on the company’s stretch targets
- Providing regular updates to the Electrical Designers including work progress, risks, and priorities
About you:
- A keen team player with a willingness to learn and take direction.
- In final year or recently completed an Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering degree or diploma
- 1 year of electrical drafting experience (Workshop/trade experience acceptable)
- MicroStation/AutoCAD experience (Or similar packages)
- Able to complete work under short time frames
- Works well under minimal direction and managing tasks
- Eye for detail and checking one’s own work
