Electrical Engineer - OPF & Green Hub
Work Location: Christmas Creek - Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.
Roster: 8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth
Fortescue is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to work within our Engineering & Reliability department. This position will suit an Electrical Engineer experienced within a processing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Anticipate & proactively resolve potential problems to ensure a zero-harm environment through design/ formulation of technical solutions.
- Respond to Electrical breakdowns and provide technical assistance to the site electricians.
- Management of Electrical Equipment Hazardous Area – including Dossier management, Installation design’s & Inspection’s.
- Management, Technical analysis & Auditing of Functional Safety Systems.
- Root Cause Analysis and Defect Elimination.
- Identification and scoping of improvement projects.
Qualification and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- TÜV or equivalent qualification in Functional Safety.
- Proven Experience with Managing Electrical Equipment Hazardous Area.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience preferably in Processing Operations.
- Proven experience with leading root cause analysis investigations.
