About the Role

We currently have opportunities for experienced Electricians to join our RSM Examiner Team, reporting to the Rail Operations Supervisor.

Responsibilities include:  

  • An overriding commitment to health, safety and environment within Rail                                           
  • Adherence to Work Management principles and discipline
  • Contributing to Continuous Improvement in Rail Maintenance
  • Contribute to high fleet availability through routine maintenance focused on quality work and a defect elimination mindset
  • Strong commitment to Field Leadership
  • Ensuring behaviour aligns with the BHP Charter Values, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations

About You

Skills and Experience:  

  • Trade Qualified (Electrical)
  • Current unrestricted West Australian Drivers license
  • Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience in managing risk e.g. JHA’s, Take 5‘s
  • An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a drive to develop and learn
  • Ability to problem solve and react to unplanned situations in a controlled manner
  • A teamwork mentality to achieve results
  • Strong safety ethic and be process driven

  Desirable but Not Essential:  

  • Rail experience
  • Experienced in Fiori and 1SAP work management
  • High Risk Work Licenses - Forklift, DG, Vehicle loading crane (HIAB)    
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office Applications

  This position will work a 14/14 Roster (7 days /7 Nights 14 Days Off) and is FIFO from Perth.
