About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Electrical Instrument Control Technician to join our Yandicoogina, Fixed Plant Maintenance team. You will be responsible for supporting daily operations including preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance activities and providing technical assistance for production critical tasks and projects centred around asset reliability and improving performance.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has a desire to grow their instrumentation and control skills while also acting as a coach and supporting in electrical maintainer training and upskilling.

Reporting to the Fixed Plant Electrical Supervisor, you will work in a close-knit team who encourage and support each other in all aspects. You’ll actively support a culture of continuous improvement and standardisation of our electrical equipment while enabling the delivery of sustainable and reliable production performance of our plant.
What you’ll bring

- An Australian Manual Driver’s Licence
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Programmable Logic Controller and logic experience
- Forward thinking and ability to prioritise
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ideally, you’ll also have a qualification in instrumentation.

Where you’ll be working
Located 95km north-west of Newman, Yandicoogina offers a range of fly in fly out rosters. As one of Australia's largest-producing iron ore mines; operating a fleet of autonomous trucks and drills, it generates more than 55 million tonnes of Hammersley Iron Yandi (HIY) fines each year.
