Electrical Maintainer – Mine Water Management

About the Role
We are looking for an Electrical Maintainer (LV) – Mine Water Management to carry out maintenance, breakdown and installation work associated with the Mine Water Management at Hope Downs 4, specifically in pit stand-alone power generation and submersible pump assets. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a positive ‘can do’ attitude who is looking for a rewarding role in fantastic location in the Pilbara.
Working a FIFO 8 days on, 6 off roster and reporting to the Mine Water Management Supervisor, you will be:
- Carrying out scheduled Dewatering maintenance
- Installing and servicing submersible and sump pumps
- Electrical improvements
- Fault finding on electrical systems
- Providing operational feedback to Supervisors and being responsible for following Rio Tinto Iron Ore safe work practices
- Maintaining statutory electrical inspections and records as required by MSIR
- Complete Inspections to pro-actively identify issues
- Flexible and able to work within other aspects of the Dewatering department and learn new skills
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Electrical Trade Certificate & WA A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Australian C-Class Driver's Licence (HR desirable)
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- Experience with PLC systems and CITECT/SCADA (desirable)
- LVR / CPR
- Fault finding on power generation & generator control systems, motors and submersible pumps
- High risk work license (Dogging, Rigging, EWP) (desirable)
