About the role
We are looking for experienced Electrical Maintainers to join the Fixed Plant Maintenance team to maintain assets through repairing and overhauling. These roles are a great opportunity for highly motivated individuals with excellent fixed plant electrical expertise to make a difference in the Paraburdoo team.
Reporting to the Statutory Electrical Supervisor, the role will require you to:
- Maintain electrical infrastructure for the wet and dry plants as per the weekly schedule
- Identify and recommend plant improvements to reduce cost and down time
- Maintain statutory electrical inspections and records as required by MSIR
- Complete fault finding and repairs of electrical systems and equipment
- Complete isolations and inspections to identify faults and raise quality notifications in SAP
- Complete quality handovers with oncoming crews and other maintenance teams including contractors as well as assisting different teams as required by your leader
- Ensure all electrical work activity is carried out in accordance with site safety standards and procedures
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- An Electrical trade certification and WA A-grade Electrical License
- A Manual C-class Australian driver’s licence (HR desirable)
- High Risk Work License (EWP)
- A basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems
- Ability to work safely and cooperatively in a small team, demonstrating flexibility to business requirements
Where you will be working
Located 80km south of Tom Price, Greater Paraburdoo is an open pit operation producing high grade ore as part of the integrated system of mines operated by Rio Tinto across the Pilbara. It is comprised of three mines: Paraburdoo, Channar and Eastern Range. The picturesque town of Paraburdoo offers residents a range of leisure facilities and local amenities including a jet-serviced airport. The operation has a predominantly residential workforce and as such has a strong sense of community where you will be a part of something bigger than just a mining business.
