About the role

This is a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Coordinator at our Appin mine. 

Responsible for developing and executing maintenance activities at the mine, you will ensure your electrical team is set-up for success against business priorities and the seamless safe delivery of maintenance and engineering activities.

Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Services, you will be supported in your efforts in continually seeking to improve our maintenance practices & equipment performance across the operation. 

Key accountabilities:

• Lead and monitor the safe planning and execution of maintenance 
• Electrical maintenance technical expert and support for trades and supervisors. 
• Contribute to forecasting and scheduling of maintenance activities and projects
• Ensure execution activities are conducted safely and cost effectively in accordance with the relevant standards and operating procedures
• Review work execution performance with team members, identify gaps and take corrective action as necessary to improve performance
• Support the identification, planning, scheduling, and implementation of critical maintenance activities required to achieve the 13-week schedule
• Produce and maintain the Daily and Shiftly Area Maintenance Plans in support of the Weekly Plan to allow for the execution of maintenance activities
• Compile and maintain the electrical maintenance portion of the Area Weekly Maintenance Plans

About you

• Trade Certificate, Degree or Associate Diploma in a relevant Electrical Engineering field
• Prior experience in a similar role within heavy industry – mining preferred
• Knowledge of SAP work management desirable 
• Demonstrated ability to contribute, influence and make decisions within multi-functional teams

Location

This position will be based at the Appin mine which is in the southern coalfields of New South Wales, near the coastal city of Wollongong and approximately 75 kilometres south and southwest of Sydney.
