ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent Full-Time position based at the Appin mine, near the coastal city of Wollongong, NSW and approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Sydney.

As the Electrical Maintenance Coordinator for the Development team, you will be responsible for the safe execution of maintenance and to ensure the Development Maintenance and Production team is set-up for success against business priorities.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Lead and monitor the safe planning and execution of maintenance for Development mining equipment
• Provide technical support to Maintainers and Supervisors for electrical fault finding and maintenance
• Contribute to forecasting and scheduling of maintenance activities and projects
• Ensure execution activities are conducted safely and cost effectively by competent personnel
• Complete daily and weekly reviews of area performance for maintenance activities and equipment performance, determining actions to deliver the Weekly Plan

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Prior experience working at an underground coal mine
• Proficiency in fault-finding of electrical equipment
• Knowledge of Electrical Equipment in hazardous areas (desirable)
• Proven ability as a self-starter; able to prioritise workload and complete activities within time frames allocated
• Demonstrated ability to contribute, influence and make decisions within multi-functional teams

Qualifications for this position are:

• Trade Certificate, Degree or Associate Diploma in a relevant Electrical Engineering field
