Illawarra Metallurgical Coal (IMC) produces premium quality, hard coking coal for steelmaking, which is transported within Australia and around the world. We operate two underground metallurgical coal mines, two preparation plants and a logistics chain.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is an 18-month Fixed-Term Contract based at Appin mine which is, near the coastal city of Wollongong, NSW, and approximately 75 kilometres southwest of Sydney.
As the Electrical Maintenance Coordinator (Surface), you will be responsible for leading the safe execution of electrical maintenance activities for the Surface Team, ensuring adherence to standards and providing expert technical support.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Lead and oversee the safe execution of electrical maintenance on Personnel and Material Winders, High Voltage Switchyards, Mine Ventilation fans, Gas Drainage plants and pumping systems.
- Provide technical expertise and support to trades and supervisors for electrical fault finding and maintenance
- Contribute to forecasting, scheduling, and planning of electrical maintenance activities and projects
- Review maintenance performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to ensure efficient operations
ABOUT YOU
- Prior experience in electrical maintenance within mining or heavy industry
- Ability to forecast, schedule, and manage electrical maintenance activities effectively
- A safety-conscious mindset with the ability to ensure cost-effective execution in line with industry standards
- Experience with winders, hydraulics, materials handling, gas extraction plants and/or HV maintenance will be highly regarded
Qualifications for this position are:
- Trade Certificate, Associate Diploma or Degree in a relevant Electrical Engineering or Maintenance field
- Valid C Class Drivers Licence
