Electrical Maintenance Technician

Work Location: Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.

Roster: 7D/7N/14R – FIFO ex Perth, Busselton or Port Hedland

Come and join FMG's Cloudbreak OPF electrical maintenance to work on diverse challenging scope of work with a high performing team.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Breakdown and preventative maintenance on the OPF assets
  • Daily inspections, repairs, and maintenance of fixed plant equipment
  • Diagnostics & fault finding
  • Scoping continuous improvement opportunities
  • Raising notifications and work orders
  • Modular and shutdown maintenance
  • Statutory testing and inspections

 Qualifications and skills required:

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current WA Electrician's Licence
  • Previous electrical maintenance experience in a large mining operation involving fixed plant maintenance
  • High Voltage Switching Certificate
  • Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
  • Current High Risk Work Licence endorsed - EWP
  • Experience in computer-based maintenance systems – SAP desirable
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
