ABOUT PKCT
South32 Illawarra Metallurgical Coal manages Port Kembla Coal Terminal (PKCT) on behalf of its shareholders. PKCT is a key coal exporting facility on Australia’s east coast, located 75 km south of Sydney. It services two of the nation’s richest coal reserves, the Southern and Western coalfields of New South Wales, receiving and loading high quality coking and thermal coal for export around the world.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent Full-Time position based at PKCT.
As the Electrical Planner, you will be responsible for providing specialised technical support and expertise for the planning activities for short and midterm scheduling horizons.
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Develop and produce Fit-For-Purpose, Well-Designed work packages across operations and maintenance activities to enable maintenance work to be implemented safely, effectively, and efficiently
- Support the delivery of routine planned preventative Maintenance schedules in accordance with the PKCT Shutdown Calendar and Maintenance Strategy
- Make work order and maintenance strategy template changes as required to continuously improve detail planning and to ensure capacities match task demand.
- Monitor work order closeout and monthly financial accruals at completion of work
- Participate in the Identification of system and process improvement opportunities to plan maintenance work more effectively and efficiently
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Previous experience in a similar role within heavy industry
- Demonstrated ability to gain alignment and create buy in of internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of other functions, and how they interface to complement each other
Qualifications for this position are:
- Tertiary qualification or Trade Certificate in relevant field, or significant technical experience in similar industrial environment
- C Class Drivers Licence
