Work Location:  Across all Fortescue Western Hub (Eliwana and Solomon)

 

Roster:  8D/6R - FIFO ex Perth

 

Fortescue is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Supervisor to join our team at the Western Hub. In this role, you will lead the safe and efficient delivery of electrical projects, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

 

Reporting to the Project Manager / Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing site activities, coordinating contractors, and providing strong, hands-on leadership to frontline teams to drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise electrical project activities to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and coordination of a multi-disciplined team and contractors
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and escalate issues as required
  • Ensure compliance with Fortescue frameworks, HSE standards, and Australian electrical standards
  • Act as the Schedule 26 Electrical Supervisor (mandatory) in line with WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022
  • Review and approve risk assessments, SWIMs, and electrical documentation (including logbooks)
  • Promote a strong safety culture, conducting inspections, briefings, and incident investigations
  • Drive continuous improvement across project delivery

Qualifications and Experience

  • Trade qualified A Grade Electrician
  • Electrical Contractors Licence or Electrical Nominee qualification
  • Mandatory: Schedule 26 Qualification
  • Proven ability to manage multiple disciplines within a project environment
  • Demonstrated experience supervising teams and coordinating contractors
  • Strong understanding of electrical standards and project delivery
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
