Electrical Reliability Engineer

Work Location: Anderson Point. Fortescue’s Anderson Point Port is located in Port Hedland, on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra peoples.

Roster:  4D/3R FIFO ex Perth or Residential

Fortescue is currently seeking an Electrical Reliability Engineer to work within our Engineering & Reliability department. This position will be to provide technical support using initiatives and applying reliability engineering techniques, data analysis, improvement projects and defect elimination for the operational Ore Processing Facility.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Optimising predictive and preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Facilitate and lead root cause analysis investigations.
  • Development and delivery of action plans to improve the reliability of production critical equipment.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within maintenance.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of accurate reports for the Engineering and Reliability department.
  • Leading electrical reliability improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • Condition Monitoring knowledge/understanding.
  • SAP knowledge.
  • Mining experience in an operational environment.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and analytical focus.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and continual improvement focus.
  • Knowledge of relevant Mines legislations and regulations.
  • Knowledge of computer management systems.
  • Planning, organisational, scheduling and coordination skills.
