Electrical Shutdown Planner

Work Location: Christmas Creek

Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine is located on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people.

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth

Reporting to the Shutdown Planning Supervisor, the Electrical Shutdown Planner will be responsible for developing and managing electrical maintenance plans and schedules to be integrated into the master shutdown schedule.  Work with electrical supervisors and internal/external stakeholders to ensure that labour capacity and execution team loading is in line with available resources for upcoming plant outages.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Communication of plans to both maintenance and operational personnel
  • Review and seek information from internal and external customers to ensure all plans are relevant
  • Prepare work schedules for areas of responsibility and assign and communicate priorities
  • Liaise with peers (from a variety of disciplines) to provide assistance during project work
  • Develop long-term maintenance plans for Electrical assets
  • Creating and managing systems data for Electrical assets and department
  • Working with the team members to continually improve Planning/Scheduling to assist with shutdown management processes

 Qualifications and skills required:

  • Proven experience in Fixed Plant Maintenance and Scheduling
  • A relevant Electrical Trade qualification is essential 
  • Recent working experience with Maintenance Management systems – experience with SAP and Projects
  • Demonstrated use of MS Excel, Outlook and Project
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present plans and ideas in a clear and concise manner  
  • Shutdown Maintenance Gantts using Projects essential
  • Current WA Drivers Licence
