This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading Fixed Plant Maintenance team responsible for maintaining the reliability, performance and integrity of critical processing assets that support one of Australia's most significant mining operations.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our Fixed Plant Maintenance team at South Flank on a permanent FIFO 8/6, 7/7 (Days/Nights) roster from Perth.
Reporting to the Fixed Plant Electrical Superintendent, you will play a critical leadership role within the Fixed Plant Electrical leadership team, leading a team of electrical tradespeople and contractors to safely execute maintenance activities while driving reliability, compliance and continuous improvement outcomes across the operation.
This role provides the opportunity to influence asset performance across a large-scale fixed plant environment incorporating high voltage systems, instrumentation, control systems, PLCs and critical production infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate visible and authentic safety leadership, fostering a culture where everyone goes home safe every day.
- Lead and support electrical teams in the execution of planned, breakdown and improvement maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, electrical standards, site procedures and maintenance strategies.
- Drive high-quality work execution through field leadership, verification and coaching.
- Monitor electrical asset integrity and ensure compliance with inspection and maintenance requirements.
- Support and facilitate key maintenance routines including weekly performance, improvement and execution reviews.
- Lead quality task risk assessment processes and safe work practices.
- Develop capability within the electrical team through coaching, mentoring and competency development.
- Build strong relationships with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and contractor partners to achieve business outcomes.
- Support defect elimination initiatives, root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects.
- Fulfil S26 statutory obligations associated with electrical supervision and licence nominee requirements.
- Communicate electrical incidents, investigations and regulatory matters where required.
About You
You are a motivated people leader who enjoys developing teams, solving technical challenges and improving plant performance. You bring a strong safety mindset, excellent communication skills and a passion for operational excellence.
To be successful, you will have:
- Electrical Trade Qualification and WA A-Grade Electrical Licence.
- Current Australian unrestricted Driver's Licence.
- S26 Statutory Supervisor
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a mining, heavy industrial or processing environment.
- Strong knowledge of fixed plant maintenance, electrical safety and statutory compliance requirements.
- Experience with high voltage distribution systems, instrumentation and control systems, PLCs and industrial automation.
- Experience as an Electrical Supervisor, Electrical Nominee or Appointed Supervisor.
- Strong work management capability, including SAP/1SAP and Fiori.
- Demonstrated experience coaching and leading frontline teams.
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning, defect elimination and reliability principles.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and building a high-performance culture.
