Electrical Technical Officer

Work Location: Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth and Busselton

Working within our Process Plant, you will provide safe, effective and timely electrical maintenance to our equipment and ancillaries to optimise plant operational capacity. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scoping continuous improvement opportunities
  • Raising notifications and work orders
  • Breakdown and fault finding on Fixed Plant
  • Preventative maintenance on Fixed Plant
  • Modular and shutdown maintenance
  • Statutory testing and inspections

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Electrical trade qualification
  • Current WA 'A' class electrical workers licence and High voltage ticket
  • Previous experience as Electrical Tradesperson or Instrumentation Technician in a continuous operating plant environment
  • Experience in PLC systems and control communication systems
  • Basic instrumentation experience
  • Experience in the maintenance and trouble shooting of Variable Speed Drives
  • Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
  • SAP experience
