Electrical Technical Officer
Work Location: Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine is located on the traditional lands of the Palyku and Nyiyaparli peoples.
Roster: 8D/6R
This permanent full time position is within our Process Plant. You will provide safe, effective and timely electrical maintenance to our equipment and ancillaries to optimise plant operational capacity.
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Officer to join our team. As an Electrical Technical Officer, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating electrical operations in the designated section to meet availability and accuracy targets and objectives. Your key accountabilities will include installing, mechanical, electrical and communications equipment
Key accountabilities will include:
- Configuring, calibrating and programming devices
- Monitoring performance for maintenance-related good practice and standards
- Performing root cause analysis investigations
- Providing advanced problem diagnosis and guidance
- Inspecting quality assurance and overseeing service, repair and reconditioning
- Overseeing commissioning, decommissioning and disposal
- Updating data packs and associated records
- Controlling inventory to ensure minimized delays.
- Performing on-the-job training and coaching to enhance the department's overall performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current WA Electrical licence
- High voltage switching certificate.
- Cert IV In Instrumentation
- Previous experience as an electrical tradesperson or Electrical/Instrumentation Technician in a continuous operating plant environment
- Experience in PLC systems and control communication systems
- Experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Variable Speed Drives(ABB desirable)
- Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolations and permitting systems
- Experience in computer-based maintenance systems - SAP (desirable)
- Austdac SILBUS/HUBBUS experience (desirable)
- Experience with Profibus PA & DP networks (desirable)
